Manuals are still available; call Cub Cadet at 1-800-800-7310 to order them and have them shipped straight to your door. The manuals will answer a lot of questions.

A small amount of whine is common with hydros - or at least the ones I've used. The BEST hydro oil to use is Case IH HYTRAN fluid. It can be used year-round. Case IH dealers have it, and Cub Cadet dealers sell it under their own brand label. Make sure you use a hydro filter and not a automotive oil filter(some car filters will fit); the car filter won't trap enough dirt to protect the hydro. The dealer is a good place to get the filter. Fleetguard also makes hydro filters for your 782.

782s are great tractors!
