Our church has a 1962 , 7hp cadet with the timed deck. We bought it last summer and found it has a bent blade shaft. This causes the cog belts to wear prematurly and the nuts to come loose on the shafts. Is it worth rebuilding the deck or are these decks a pain anyway?

probably one of the best mowing decks cub built. The cost to fix might be worth looking for a replacement deck. I know Scott at Madson's service has a deck or two. 1-920-773-2661.

I ownwed one of those for several years and was very pleased with it. I have never seen a rider that did a nicer job of mowing. My only complaint with the tractor was it was a little short of power.
