I have a cub cadet 1105 with a peerless transaxle. Lately I have been having trouble with an axle coming out of it. I have replaced the snapring twice and the problem still keeps coming back. Does anyone have any ideas that would help me solve this? Thank you in advance.

i would say that the groove the snap ring fits into ,is not cut deep enough, or ya have the wrong size snap ring, or you do not have a washer behind the snap-ring ! would take a lathe to cut the groove deeper if that is the case.another way to fix it,,IF YA HAVE ROOM TO DO IT, is to drill a hole in the shaft end and use a cotter-pin and a washer to hold it in there.the washer is so the cotter pin or snap-ring does not rub against the metal and wear it off.
