Cub Cadet Deck Pulley

I wish I could get someone to give me part numbers or directions on how to speed up my mower deck. Blades turn too slow!! It is a 44A Deck, Serial no. 83034. Also would Gator blades give me a better cut? Where could I get them? My dealer wants $20 per. My tractor is a 1650.

I have a 44a deck on my cub 1000,I switched to a 4inch pulley and I am getting a lot faster spin now.This link sells the pulley if you would Like to see,hope this helps.

I haven't had much luck with the IH Forum.
My driven pulley is 4 1/4" outside dia.. Would like to have a 3 3/4" one though. I'm about ready to quit mowing with Cub Cadet and get something that will sling them blades. Thanks for input.

Ronnie, wish I had written down the info just recently discussed on the IHCC site. ( www.ihcubcadet.com/discuss/ ) You can get a smaller(4 1/2" I THINK) middle drive pulley which then necessitates a slightly shorter drive belt. That will speed it up some. Also a recent discussion on the Gator blades.
