I have a Cub Cadet 1320---after running it till it warms up the hydro slows way down and wont even go up a slight incline. I have changed the hydro fluid 2 times trying different weights but still does the same thing. Is there a repair kit for the Hydro? or any ideas? Lynn

Try a new belt, easiest fix, I bet that is all that is wrong w/it.

Yer Cub Cadet 1320 is off-topic at www.ihcubcadet.com. Only IH-made Cub Cadets are on-topic there.

I am not familiar with that model, unsure whether it has the Sauer hydro or the Peerless transaxle unit. I suspect it is a riding mower that has the inferior Peerless, for which the fix is to replace the unit. The Sauers are very reliable.

Sounds like the hydro has an internal crack or leak that opens up when it warms up, causing a loss of pressure. Or the relief valves on a Sauer unit may be leaking. Or the piston rings on the pump or motor inside, or the seals, could be worn out. Peerless units have seal troubles. Any of those causes will produce that symptom.

Did a little research. Yer 1320 is a belt-drive lawn tractor (riding mower) with Peerless transaxle. I think you'll find replacing the trans will set you back more than it's worth. I'd look for a genuine IH Cub Cadet or Cub Cadet garden tractor with that cash, instead. You'll get a lot more life out of it.

Lynn,

Go to IHCUB.COM and register..You can then ask all the questions about your Hydro..Sorry but this is the best advice I can muster.
