I need some help with the adjustments on my tractor for the mower deck, I keep braking belts.
The tension adjustment on the front of the tractor must be out somewhere, the pully's seem to be in good shape. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi. First off, you ARE buying genuine Cub Cadet belts, right? At the very least, buy Gates Green belts. Not the Green Stripe, but the all green-colored belts that are made for L&G tractor use. The CC belts are best, they are built to spec for that drive system.

I'm betting that's your problem. If you are using regular automotive belts, they can't handle the stresses and bending angles of the deck drive system.

Be sure your idler pulleys are free-moving and do not wobble from side to side. Check to be sure there is no foreign matter, like small tree nuts or pieces of stick, wedged in any of the pulleys. That can make the belt jump off and get cut by the pulley system.

Adjustment is so straight-forward that I doubt it is your problem. Tighten the adjusting screw until there's medium tension (about 1 to 1-1/2 inch) give in the belt as it runs to the deck.
