i just bought a cub 127 and the holes in hood for the pins or bolts that the hood pivots on are very sloppy, allowing alot of vibration noise. what was in these holes from the factory (pins, bushings, spacers etc?) what is a good fix?
where can i get a good parts manual?
thanks for the help

Bolts were used as the hood pivots. Some units use an allen-head bolt, with nylex stop nut inside, to keep it from backing off. I believe your 127 does (I own one, but can't tell you right off cuz I own 16 and forget which is which!).

Restorers often buy fiber washers to insert between the hood and front casting. Then, tighten bolts down til the fiber washer has some drag. This cures the vibration rattle, plus allows you to raise hood to any position.

Good luck.

You can get a manual at your Case/IH dealer or Binder Books. A bolt and nut was used for the hood.

So I think I have a solution to your muffler problem.
