I've been looking for a loader for my 706. Would prefer an I.H. loader, and would like for it to be quick-tach. Any suggestions on what model(s) will work and what one might expect to pay would be appreciated.

Thanks;

Larry

Westendorf makes loaders for almost every aplication. There isn't a loader out there that is built better than a Westendorf. There great loaders and all are quick tack and have quick tach buckets.

Its not IH but it is red, take a look at a Westendorf WL-42, they have made these for 25+ years and still in production. Easy on and off, no tools needed, no stands required. Most have a quick change for the bucket mount. Should be able to find a used on to fit. This loader will handle a 100hp tractor so it is stout. They do make a smaller one, WL-21 that I have seen on a F656, looked cute, also looked like it belonged on a F340. These are made in Iowa so if you are far away they might be hard to come by.

Take Pat H's advice and go with a quick tach loader. The're a little more money, but worth it. I have an Allied 595 quick tach loader on my tractor. Bought it new in 1997 for $3700. I think you could find a used quick tach loader for $2000 to $2500 in good shape.

I have a 2350 IH quick tach on a 806 that I really like,can take it off or put it on in a matter of minutes if I have level ground.Paid $2000 for the loader used a couple of years ago from a neighbor.The extra money for the quick tach worth it in my book.Hope this helps.Pat

Will a 2350 series loader bolt right up, or do you have to make some modifications to make it fit? Or any other Quick-tach loader for that matter.

Thanks;
Larry

the 2350 will fit right on your 706 but you will need plates to go on the frame rails to make the tractor as wide as the loader brackets.Mine came with these as it was mounted on a 856 before I got it.I can try and dig up some pictures after the holidays if you like.Pat

I was wondering if you still had the 2350 loader on the 706. I have found a 2350 loader that was on the 66 series that I want to put on my 706 but I need some help with the bracketry. If you could send me some pictures of yours,any help would be appreciated.

thanks for your time, Eric

We have a IH-2250 loader on the 706.
Does not mount the same on a 806.
We had to get the spacers from Case/IH.
Can post a pic from IH if you want.
