Well, as usual I just can"t leave well enough alone, mind you, if I didn"t keep tinkering it wouldn"t be as much fun!!!

Anyways...
If you guys recall I successfully got my Super A to charge using the voltage Cut out on the system. It is a 6 volt, positive ground. On high charge it was putting out 10 volts, on low, next to nothing. Everything was fine. However, I came across a inexpensive NOS 6volt, 3 post, Delco Regular and thought "what the heck", maybe it will help prolong the life of my battery. Tonight I installed it, F to the Field, A to the Gen. and Battery to the Amp meter. When I first started it up and ran at 3/4 throttle, she went to 10 amps (switch position made no difference, which I guess is correct). After a couple of min I noticed the gauge indicating a little less of a charge, which again I figured was correct. I tried the lights, the amp gauge dropped down to about 3 amps, again no problem.. Turned the lights off, she jumped back up to about 8 but was slightly shakey. I then gave it a bit more throttle, the amp went up to about 10 then just dropped. I"m not sure if it was still charging or not(might be a little??) but basically it just dropped. I then lowered the throttle to idle, she started charging at about 4 amps. Full throttle, jumped to 1o again, then back to basically nothing. Lowered the throttle she jumped back up to 3 or 4.

So, anyone have any ideas on why it"s doing this? Is it correct?

As Always, thanks for your responses.
