Picture or Part # for Coulter for IH 2 bottom fast hitch ...

Looking for a picture or part # for coulters for IH 2 bottom fast hitch plow that mounts to a Super C. The plow has the smaller points on the fast hitch and it also has a 3 inch by 12 inch spring on the top middle of the plow. I do not model number of the plow. Any help would be appreciated.

The only number I see on my plow colter is on the cast iron yoke #8489A

That would be a C20. I can look at mine tomorrow and see if I can find a number cast in to the cast iron swivel that holds the colter. I've seen them on E bay before. I have an idea most of those IH plows from the 50s were probably close to the same thing, time for a road trip to the junk yard.

Paul: From your description it sounds like a C-20. Spring tells me that. I presume this is not a replacement of an existing coulter. Coulter is missing, correct?

In the parts book I have IH do not list a part number for the whole coulter assembly. There are numerous parts, including 16" and 18" blades, notched and plain, then you need corresponding yoke for large or smaller blades. Come back and tell me how much of this you need, and I'll give you part numbers. Your most economical fix will be a pair of good used complete coulter assemblies. Just about any coulter from pre 1965 plows will fit. The same coulter was used on most small frame plows; trailer, fast hitch or 3 point.

Most of these parts are still available at CaseIH, however a complete assembly will be well over $300. each.

i think you have a IH C-20 fast hitch plow . i have one . i have been trying to get a parts list for it . there is a picture of one in implement photo's .
