Hello fellows.

A guy contacted me about a forrest machine made in Sweden, called Mini Brunett 578.
This forrest machine use the engine, transmission and rear end from an IH tractor. The engine is supposed to be a D226 (55 hp DIN) and the rest called Hydro 85 or Hydro 86.
From what I understand the transmission consist of a hydraulic pump with variable flow, and a hydraulic motor.
This guy says the entire hydraulic system, pump and motor is worn out, and he wonders what to do, and if anyone carries parts for these, or if it is possible to get a replacement transmission complete. He says the transmission, engine, rear end unit its made in England.

I hope some have a little information about this.

Best regards,

Bill Brox

They have been selling rebuilt hydro transmission units on eBay for around $4000 I think...

They say that rebuilds of other hydros are possible as well, check it out:

It's likely based off the IH Hydro 84 or 85 built in Doncaster England.

These used a D-246 4 cyl diesel and hydro transmission.
The 784 IH used the same motor. I have no experience with the hydro trans tractors, but parts should still be available through CIH dealer.

The Hydro 86 uses the D312 engine so I'd guess it's the 85. Rebuilding the unit is going to cost several thousands of dollars.
