Low Hydraulic Pressure 1086 - Pump or Relief Valve?

I have a 1086 and the hydraulic system worked great last fall when plowing. Now the system has very low pressure and will hardly lift anything (cylinder or 3-pt.) The service manual doesn"t really show where the relief valve is located. Where is it located and can I visibly see if it is bad? When pressure testing, how can I tell if the pump or relief valve is bad? Finally, I read the thread here on o-ring between pump and case and will check that too. Thanks!

The best way is to have the tractor Flow Rated . As on the 86 seires depending on the year there was two different systems . Having the flow rate done can save time and money as this will nail done the problem . But for most people this means having a dealer or a good repair shop do the testing and the flow rater is not something that you are going to run out and by for a one time test .
