I have a Case IH 900 cyclo planter that I hope you can help me with. When I got it out of the shed last weekend only one marker would go down most of the time and it would be really slow about going back up to the upright position. When I mean slow it probably took a minute holding the hydraulic lever. In years past at times one marker would be hard to get started working, but once it did would work fine the rest of the time. Do you think that the little control value underneath the seed hopper needs to be replaced? Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

On our 400 cyclo I sprayed chain lube on the linkages around the hydraulic valve and it worked fine every year...

I'd try some type of lube first before digging deeper.

The 6 row cyclo 400 marker control system which I had is entirely different from the 12 row cyclo 900 which replaced it. My "new" 900 incorporates electronics not an easy-to-diagnose mechanical linkage. Perhaps the smaller model 900's are different. The electronics allow the 900's markers to have several features that are beneficial.

When I purchased my old 400, I had same problems, I cleaned up the slide mechanism and keep sprayed with dry graphite. It worked for me, but your problem maybe deeper than that.
