I just got done adding live hyd to my Farmall M. I used the IH add-on 2way tree valve like this.

My question is: Do I need to add a pressure regulator or will be ok without?

Chock 430 C, Those valves do not have a relief valve in them so yes you have to put one in between the pump and valve. Good luck, Chuck

I knew it didn't have the relief, just wasn't sure if the pump was capable of enough pressure to warrant one.

Oh yes any good pump will ruin itself or the gears that drive it, they will kill an M. Chuck

What psi should I set it at, once I get it? I already have the 400 cam gear put in.

The SMTA with that pump and valve were set at 1000. I have my H at 1000 also it does well on the work I use it for and has run for 35 years with out any problems. Chuck

Sounds like a plan. Now to go find a relief valve to put on it.
