Nebraska tests give 24.28 max belt for the gas model, and 22.14 on distillate. Why the difference between IHC figures and Nebraska tests? My guess: the figures published by IH are done according to A.S.A.E. and S.A.E test codes, AND are, in the words of the IHC sales brochure I have, "corrected to 60 degrees F. at sea level." It looks as if these figures may not correspond exactly to "real life" use. I don't know if the Nebraska tests did any corrections for temperature, but if I had to guess, I would say they are probably more realistic than the figures put out in the sales brochure.
