Want to fix up my H. Plan to start with a leak in the transmission. Oil is dripping out about 2 ft. in front of the rear axel. There is a drain plug and a metal plate about 8x6 in. Oil is dripping near here. Drain plug not leaking. Any comments appreciated. Lots of info. on this site.
Thanks, Lon.

Take that plate off, you will see two shafts that drive the trans and the belly pump, getting the pump out is a bit difficult, remove the bolts in the shaft and set it aside. Turn the flange where it is leaking out, counter clockwise, pick out the seal and tap a new one in place and reassemble..a few hours on Saturday morning and its done...lots of H's don't leak until the trabs is properly filled and then they leak..very common...as stated , check the archives, all the info you need to fix the problem..couple of hours at the most

Check my pics here

3 common places they will leak, belly pump seal, belly pump drive seal & transmission drive seal.

Not to hard to fix, just a messy dirty job
