Were can you locate the conversion kit to replace the cartridge type oil filter with the spin on type? I see on this site a spin on filter but not a conversion kit. What does it take to do this? Just looking at it the only thing you would need is a threaded nipple that would fit the block and filter. has any of you done this? i have had a problem last year trying to get the new o'ring to seal. Clean out the grove and all very well, but still could not get a very good seal.

Thanks,

Keith

Again thanks for the help from everyone! I ask a lot of questions, but I feel that the only way to learn things at times is to ask.

gator that what I am going to try before I spend that much money. i was hoping that maybe someone had made there own nipple. I have a small metal turning lathe that I could make one. Just not sure of the size. just looking at it that's all I can see that's in the kit.

Thanks,

Keith

One of my 140's has the spin on and another has the cover. I haven't had a seal problem with the covered one. Is the bottom of your cover dinged up maybe? Might could drag it across some emery paper to be sure.

Keith: CaseIH is your only source for that kit. I haven't even checked lately, however Erik's price quote doesn't surprise me.
