USE HARDNER WITH WHAT EVER PAINT YOU USE. IT WILL SHINE BETTER, CURE FASTER, AND IT WONT FADE QUITE AS FAST. I USE DUPONT CENTRI FOR SHEET METAL AND VANSICKLE FOR CASTING. GOOD LUCK!

You are using the best acrylic enamel available (Centari) and the worst alkyd enamel (Van Sickle). Perhaps the fading is less noticeable on the cast.

It is the 30's alkyd enamel, it will fade if left outside. Kept waxed it may be ok, but you get what you pay for. If you want a somewhat better paint that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, get IH 2150 from your Case-IH dealer.
