MY 1086 STARTS JUMPING WHEN YOU LET OUT ON THE CLUTCH ONLY IN FORWARD NOT IN REVERSE PETAL FEELS FINE HAVE AJUSTIED CLUTCH MAKES NO DIFFERENCE CLUTCH WAS REPLACED 400 TO 500 HRS. AGO ANY AND ALL IDEAS?

Check the bracket that mounts the clutch linkage. The early ones were mounted to the clutch houseing. Made the cab move up & down when you used the clutch. First improvement pkg. would break & make clutch jumpy also. Last up date pkg. worked fine. No update or crack in old bracket is the most common cause of a jumpy clutch on the 86 series.

if your wheels try to come off ground your TA is not working properly, in fact it has to be replaced, because it only gets worse, have a nice day. :~)

Ours jumped when the TA went out... could be clutch/TA out of adjustment, too.

JUMPY ENGAGEMENT OR POOR RELEASE. A. DISC BENT (TRACTOR FORCED TOGETHER OR DISC DROPPED). A. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION. B. DISC DISTORTED FROM HEAT (EXTREME SLIPPAGE). B. B. REPLACE DISC. C. PPA NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. C. REPLACE PPA D. FLYWHEEL NOT GROUND TO CRANK D. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION. E. 86 SERIES CAB MOUNT WORN EXCESSIVELY. E. REPLACE CAB MOUNTS. F. F. RELEASE LEVER CRACKED OR BROKEN. F. REPLACE PPA OR RELEASE LEVERS.

G. PPA PIVOT BLOCK LOOSE. G. REPLACE PPA. H. DISC BINDING ON INPUT SHAFT. H. CLEAN DIRT AND GRIME FROM SPLINES. IF SPLINES WORN, REPLACE DISC. I. PPA NOT FLAT IN FLYWHEEL. I. INSPECT FLYWHEEL TO INSURE PPA MOUNTING SURFACE IS NOT TAPERED ALLOWING PPA TO BE DRAWN DOWN UNEVENLY. J. FAULTY PILOT BEARING. J. REPLACE PILOT BEARING
