Trying to put differant IPTO in 450. What is the trick to lining up that shaft or do i have to remove the whole platform? Thanks Stan

I just put mine back in a 350. What position do you have the engagement lever in? If it is in the disengage position the input shaft may just turn as you turn the unit so it will never line up unless you are lucky. If the lever has the PTO engaged you can turn the PTO shaft and turn the input shaft to help spline alignment (Turns hard through the planetary gear system). They are heavy units and amazingly complex for what they do as I just rebuilt mine. Roger

Pulled the PTO out of a 560 a couple times shoud be able to slip it in with out removing the deck. Are you putting back the same type PTO that you took out?Theirs different geaaring for the band or clutch type PTO's.
