Hello,
If you just changed out the pump and won't start. set the fly wheel to 18 deg. then remove the timming gear from the pump and rotate the pump one turn or 360 deg and install the gear tourque the bolts to 30lbs and start it. that is a common problem in fact i think the IT manual will tell you do this. Good luck Ed

i thought i had the pump set right when i pull it. but when i checked the timeing marks on the flywheel they weren't even close so i turned the flywheel till i saw timeing mark A then about 18 degrees past that was four .... marks does this still sound like 180 Degrees off. should i try bleeding the injector line first most of the new engine i have worked on will self purge ???
