Just finished rebuilding the hydrolic block and pump with fresh seals and O rings. Instead of using hydrolic oil I used SAE 30 in the block for fluid which I have heard is OK. When moving the levers on the down stroak she really sings a song but on the up swing she is as quiet as a baby asleep. Question: Is this normal? Should I switch to regular hydrolic fluid? Any other suggestions to quit her down?

I haave used 30 wt for years in my supper C and it has worked fine. One exter you gain from that is that once the shaft wears and starts leaking into the engine you are not mixing anything with the engine oil that can do harm there. Larry

The original recommendation before touch control fluid was 10W. 30W is a little heavy. I prefer Hytran or equivalent.

SAE30 engine oil is only recommended for the Lift-All "belly pump" systems on H's and M's, because that's all that was available.

Your C used Touch Control Fluid, which was replaced by HyTran later on down the line.
Your problem may be air in the lines, though.
