First the stats,"58"240U w/a char-lynn P/S Unit. I Replaced the seals on the Steering wheel side of the pump about a Year ago when I rebuilt her,and it didn't give me any problems.I did notice that the bearing surface of the shaft in contact w/ the seal was pretty pitted and corroded. So I cleaned it up w/ emery cloth and put it back together.Well it worked for awhile,(8mo.)But now its leaking pretty good.Question? Can I put a Speedy Sleeve over the damaged Shaft and replace the seal again? Has anybody done this w/ success? Thanks!

I have a 240U. I had success with a"Quad Ring" from Force America. It's like a double o'ring. Also, make sure you have no air in your hydraulic system. I had a loader on it that would leak down causing air in the system. The quad ring took care of 95% on my leak and removing the loader took care of the rest.
I also used a quad ring on my Case 630 with success.

I think I would have the shaft spray welded instead of a speedy sleeve. Any good machine shop can do that for you.
