someone refresh my memory please on a 123 engine do you have to take the front timing cover off to replace the crank seal? doesnt it go in from the inside tward the outside? also anyone have the number for the repair wear ring that goes on the crank pulley ? i know the seal # is 49177-D just cant find the wear ring number

You can get the speedi-sleeve and the new seal at any Napa store. Case/IH may have them too. Hal

Yes, you must take the timing cover off. The seal presses in the inside of the cover.

I don"t have the # of the Speedy-sleeve, but you could either to mic. it, or I"m sure someone else may post it.
