How hard is it to change the transmission seal on a H Farmall. I see there is a cotter key through the shaft and 3 bolts holding the housing around the seal.I thought I would ask someone about it before I tried taking it apart. Thanks

That is the Lift-All pump drive seal you are referring to. After removing the pump drive shaft, lock the brakes, put the transmission in reverse, and unscrew the coupler nut (turn lefty-loosey) before removing the 3 cap screws. Some oil will leak out through the bearing. You should replace the gasket at the same time. Be sure to get the mating surfaces clean. When installing the drive coupler, it will self-tighten when using the Lift-All.

its easy I just changed one on mine today. Just pull the cotter keys out and the shaft will fall off when you push them 2 round things toward each other that the keys is going trough. Then take the 3 bolts out and there is the seal.

If I can do it for the first time anybody can do it (LOL)
