I know it must be right in front of me, but I don't see it. How do you provide your email address when posting a message on the Modern view? Thanks. mike

Hugh, the merging work they did to get Modern PHPBB to talk to and work with the outdated software they use for "Classic" means that a whole lot of features available on normal PHPBB forums aren't available here.
It's a miracle they got they got them to work together at all, quite frankly.

Top right box of selections, there is "Profile" You can change all your personal info up there. Make sure you include your password when changing the e-mail.
And if you REALLY want someone to e-mail you, drop into classic to make the post so you can cover both bases. Classic users can't see the Modern e-mail button.

Mike: Can't answer that one, but what does annoy me about this "modern view", even though I check the box to receive notification when someone responds to my posting, it does not happen.

How was the trip back to Florida and how are the family?

Hi, Hugh:

Trip to Fla was great. We have a little place down in Crystal River on the Gulf side above Tampa about 85 miles. I've been going to Crystal River since I was a boy growing up in Lakeland. Still nice but not the same, of course. #2 son is doing well in his banking career. He wants an H but has neither time nor location for one at present. Grandsons are coming to the farm here in N. Alabama next month. I'll teach them to chop thistles and spray herbicide. HAW-HAW!

I mowed the lawn yesterday with the Super A. Using it made me think of all the help you have been to so many on the forum over the years....

Take care. mike

Mike: Speaking of choping thistles, spraying herbicide and the like. I'm thinking of making our grandson a similar offer.

Tomorrow is our first grandson's 2nd birthday. Marg. and I are going to Toronto for the event. We haven't seen him for 6 weeks and I understand his vocabulary has changed from a few words and phrases to full sentences. Last week one morning they were just finishing breakfast when young Munro put on his coat, shoes and cap, standing at the door he anounced he wanted money. Heather asked, "What do you need the money for?" He replied, "Going shopping." She asked, "What are you going shopping for?" He said, "Apples, Cheese, and some other things to eat." Apparently he wanted an apple the night before, and there were none in.

I figured since he's into fruits and vegetables, I might offer him a job garden weeding. He may as well learn the true value of those commodities. Heck, I might even have him driving the tractor by fall.

I did my first grass mowing this year on Fri. It really didn't need to be done, however I had a lot of things apart on the SA this winter, and I wanted to be sure everything was working well after an hour warm up. We had rain Fri. night and yesterday, first in a month and since I applied fertilizer. I expect I'll have some real heavy grass to mow this week, in fact I have more grass now than I had Fri. Around here, grass mowing is almost twice per week in May and June. Anyhow, everything seems to be working fine. About the only thing I found wrong was 1/2" water in my sediment bowl, checked the other tractors, 140 was the same. 130 that I've been running all winter had none. Must be winter condensation. I would have put the first gas back is SA about 8 weeks ago.
