I am in the process of repainting a model 70, 3-14 plow. The only photo I can find is one for sale in NE and can't tell what's blue and what's red. It is a rigid beam with the number 524370R on each one. Everything looks original, (paint wise), except I have a 15" wheel on the land side and a 14" on the furrow, is that normal? Also where can I get decals?

Binder Books in Oregon were my source for good decals when I painted my #8 plow. Ph 503-684-2024, 10am-5pm Pacific Time.

You might try "Wisconsin Historical Society" for what parts are blue, red, black or cream. Work thru that website and you should be able to get the info you want. They told me the records for Harvester Cream are lost....I used IH #935 White for my wheels (same as grill on 460 & 560, I think) and they look like I remembered them from my youth. The hitch and coulters were black.

here is my #70, 3-16" w/ Super Chief bottoms (in the background). It has never been repainted. It does have M&W fixed coulters on it though. Not sure what color the IH coulter brackets would have been for sure.

According to the manual, 15" tires are standard. 14" are optional.

Can't help with the decals. You might have to have them custom made.

It's been 33 years since I've had a new plow, thus I really don't remember. Same with decals, I have no idea where you'd find them.
