IH gasket kit had two head gaskets. One thick, one thin. Nothing in my books about tolerance. Thin one thrown in with all the others. Thick one in it's own special wrapper! Guess I'll go with the 'special' one.

One more d*mn thing to worry about.

There. I didn't even ask the question.

There is a minor difference.
I needed to look up the casting number on my block because I had to replace an actuator that I foolishly damaged during the autopsy.
The minor difference is that there was a small provision in the gasket to accomodate the Super C Touch control block which has a solid top on it.
If you used the special one you should be OK

I put one gasket over another, compared them both sides, not a lick of difference, except the thickness.
Maybe they were packaged on a friday afternoon near guittin'-time with his eye on the clock and a beer on his mind.

Uh-oh. This could be trouble. I think you are starting to talk to yourself.

I used the one that was loose in the package. I figured that the one in the bag would be clean if I ever needed it.

If trying to fix an old tractor doesn't make you psychotic, little else will!!

Say, Pete, I know you're not asking, and I can't explain either, why they felt they needed to include TWO head gaskets, fer crying out loud, but I'd say go with the 'special' one.
