Farmall 100 Need Help!

Its getting gas and trying to fire some black smoke. My friend pulled the coil off and bought a new coil. Its a 6 volt system and the new coil is marked + and -. Which side hooks to the mag? Thank you very much for any help

Also, with that black smoke, don't forget to duble check your plug wires for proper firing order. Good luck.

If you have a 12 volt system, then you will need
a resistor on the 6 volt coil- Your hot wire from the switch to one side of the resistor-wire
from the other side of the resistor to the + on the coil---(-)from the coil to the distribitor Hope this helps Glynn

Wire from + terminal to the distributer if battery is + ground.

You said mag dont you mean a dist an the 100 should have a dist.
