Check the resistance at the wires, and across the fuse holder terminal. Also might want to check the battery and battery cable condition.

if they came out of a box, the box may be marked 6v and the lights may be 12v. The bulb should have 6v right on the bulb, or a number to cross to voltage. JimN

One of 2 things come to my mind, you have the lights on dim, or you have 12 volt lights running off of 6 volt.

THANKS
Ill look into that ,they are flat back lights,
may have to tear out the battery and chase the bees out to check.

Be advised that they will probably never be as bright as what your car or truck is, but they should still be bright enough that you have difficulty looking at them.

I guess I'm not all that familiar with a 200, but somewhere, somehow, there has to be high beam/low beam selector. It may or may not be incorporated into the actual on/off switch.

Your light switch should have both a dim and a bright position. Are you on the dim setting?
This is assuming that you installed the original style flatback sealed beam lights.

If by chance you installed a set of the teardrop shaped lights, you probably have a 6 volt taillight bulb instead of the 6 volt "1133" headlight bulb.
