Went through the entire I&T manual adjusting starting mechanism. Found everything out of whack but also found #2 starting valve may not be closing all the way, will pull the plug later to verify. It did start a lot easier after making all adjustments. Checking clearance between starting valve cover and lever is not easy. Going to pull a plow with it this weekend to see if that loosens things up.

PF, on one the earlier posts about MD starting problems, I offered to take it off your hands. Does this mean you might not scrap it ? Seriously isn't it amazing how seemingly little adjustments can make such a difference ? I often wonder how these things got so far out of whack and still functioned at all. Glad you got it sorted out.
