Will steel rear wheels from an H fit anything else? I'm assuming they would fit an M, but don't know for sure. What about any of the F series?

I'm going to be selling mine, so want to advertise them as correctly as possible.

They will not fit an F12 or F14. The 12s and 14s have a 2 5/8 axle. H as 2 1/2

Actually, my war year tractor did come on rear steel. The story behind these particular wheels is that the tractor was shipped and used on steel for several years during the war, and the owner upgraded tractors. The guy who gave it to me (Ira) and his father went to buy it from the dealer in '51, but insisted they put rubber on it. So, the dealer took the steel off and replaced it with a regular rubber/rim/cast set up. The wheels were stuck in the back of a barn since no one wanted them. Years later when Ira went back home for a class reunion he was talking to a very good friend of his who was the nephew of the dealer. Tractors came up in the conversation, and Ira found out the wheels were still in the barn, so he bought them. He blasted them and primed them, and stored them inside, but never used them. Now I have them. They haven't been on a tractor since they were taken off, and they were only used a couple years.

They will fit on the F-12 and F-14s. Some slight modifications may be required but they will fit. I have seen it done a couple times before.

Steel wheels. They aren't the thin skeletons ones. They are pretty thick with two rows of lugs. I'll get some pictures here before too long.

No. I hadn't posted the story yet. I've been sick and busy, so haven't had time. I will try to get the pics off the camera tonight and write it up.

Mike, I think Scotty is on to something. Your H didn't come on steel. You are refering to the rims right?

H has 2-1/2 inch diameter axles and so does a lot of farmall 300, 350 and some 460. M uses 2-3/4 inch diameter.

They fit H, Super H, 300, 350, 460 with 2 1/2 inch axles, When you advertise them get the casting code if they are the cast center style, My 2 cents worth

They will fit early 300's, I do not know the Serial # break, but I believe the early 300's had small axles. They do not fit the M or any other letter/number series. (I do not know about F series)

if they fit an M it probably would be breaking axles.

During WW-2 all of the letter series Farmalls except A & B were standard with steel wheels.

What makes you think it would break an axle. Lots of Ms were sold on steel and used that way as there was not any rubber to put on and take the steel off.
