Mowing with the Woods mower yesterday and smelt burning gear oil. Have not used PTO or belt for 2 years. A little smoke was coming from the PTO around the area of the transmission oil drain plug. Everything was running smooth and the PTO was running quiet. Any ideas and or suggestions things to check? Will start with checking transmission oil level but I am pretty sure its full. Thanks, Stan in TN

Bett fill with some 90wt it gets its oil from the transmission thru a hole in the housing but that hole can get plugged therefore no lube runs back thru the hole. Better keep an eye on the fluid level.
