On a H, directly behind the distributor, along the water jacket cover, I have noticed a small seep of anti-freeze coming from around a bolt. (I think there are 3 on this cover). I always try to check my anti-freeze before I run this tractor. It only is noticeable when the tractor is ran. I probably should try to fix this, but do you guys think it will cause any major issues, if I don"t? I mean besides loss of anti-freeze?

The water jacket cover is on the other side of the engine, you are looking at the cover that exposes the push rods--only oil should leak from there. Let it set for a while, slowly almost remove the oil pan drain plug, if antifreeze seeps out, you have a problem.

okay..I will double check what exactly is leaking out...if it is just oil..will it cause any long-term problems other than oil loss?

If it is antifreeze, your oil is contaminated, and you have a blown head gasket, cracked head, or some way that antifreeze is getting into the oil. That has to be fixed. If it is oil, that is common, won't hurt anything unless it is leaking a stream. Most tractors seep or leak oil somewhere. You might gently tighten the bolts, or get a new gasket. The oil leak is an easy fix, antifreeze isn't.

That cover for the valve lifters/pushrods has copper washers under the bolt heads. That may be the only problem. Most I have seen have never been replaced since the tractor left the factory. There is also a breather filter for the crankcase under the pipe attached to the cover. Most of these are plugged solid. A "Brawney" stainless steel scratch pad makes a good replacement filter.
