Super M Governor

I had to loosen some stuff on the side of my Super M (propane) tractor in order to redo the water jacket plate; including the conduit lines for the governor. I reassembled everything and started it up. The tractor ran wide open. I shut it off & re-loosened everything to see if something was dislodged or disconnected. I reassembled & restarted. The governor worded some but it still does not idle down. Does anybody have an idea what I did to mess up my idle control. It was working great before I "fixed" my tractor.

you probably did not get the throttle shaft matched to the butterfly in the carb. it has a notch to fit into.that will cause your problem.

Thanks for the reply. Ok, I checked this shaft matching with the carburetor & that helped some; but it still idles way too fast. The notch in the carburetor goes from about 8 o'clock to 12 o'clock. It seems like it made a difference where I stabbed it; but not significantly. I tried many different locations. Anymore suggestions?
