Just picked this 560 gasser at an auction today in Northwest Indiana. Pretty nice, couldn't let it go for so cheap. Two problems with it, and they may be related. Power steering doesn't work, and the front end shimmies badly driving down the road. I'm also not convinced the hydraulics work, but I'll figure that out soon enough.

Serial is 45661 S-Y-CC

I take it this means TA and 540 IPTO, Hydra-touch low and reverse attachment (what is this exactly), and 3rd speed heavy duty tillage gear.

Interesting stuff I think. What do you think?

Well, to start out with I have a pair of new front tires. I'll see if that helps with the shimmy. The IPL shows the steering shaft to be mounted with tapered bearings, so it ought to be adjustable. Beyond that, I that fixing the power steering will help greatly.

I still have a 450 Gas that I just brought home needs a little tuning up. Sounds like an old 2-cylinder right now.

Nice piece! I have one exactly the same, and I like the slow third gear. Can't say I have ever had problems with the front end shimmying...good luck, I would like to know the solution though, should I ever have the problem arise.

On 460 and 560 P.S. pump is mounted to the back of the main HYD. pump. Not sure about 660. My front shimmies also so I would like what you find out. Armand

So you own stock in Exxon/Mobil, the only thing that might be worse was an 806 gasser. But Still a very good looking tractor
