OK so I am a little ahead of myself. I have tried my first rebuild on a carb . I need to know where to set the screws so it will want to run and then I can fine tune it. I have no clue where to start ?? I know the screw for the idle but not sure what the others do . Thanks in advance . Ever have the " Cart Before the Horse" Seems I do ... LOL

Main jet is on the bottom in the front below governor tube? Has the brass bushing it sits in that screws into the carb housing?

Idle mixture I believe is 1 turn out, the other idle screw is rpm, enough so that it runs smoothly. Main jet is 3-5 turns out. If you adjust it like on the M (in until rough, out until smooth), it will show lack of power. Thus the SM main jet is actually similar to a fixed jet like on the A,B,C, etc, but can be adjusted. At 5 turns out the needle is completely out of the jet. It can be turned in for light loads and better economy. Adjust the idle mixture so that it runs smoothly. It is the opposite of the main jet, in richens the mixture, out leans it.
