I am looking for a pair of flat tops for my 560. I know these are not original, but need flat tops for riders. I am looking for a pair, but not the price of new/aftermarket at $500 a pair.
I am located in Central Pennsylvania. THanks

I"m looking for a set of flat tops for my M. I found these, but I"m not sure how good they are.

Off topic, what flat top fenders are correct for a F504. Mine is a 1962 with clam shells, later F504's had flat top fenders.

I've rode and also carried many riders on clam shell fender tractors, and intend to continue this practice. I believe the "do-gooders" vastly over-estimate the potential dangers for most operations. However I do believe it is safer to have the passenger leaning/gripping on a fender, coupled with most of his/her weight on their feet. With someone "perched" on a flat top fender and their legs dangling, it increases the possibility they could lose their balance and topple off.

Hey guys,
I thank you for your skepticism, and assure you that i do not regularly allow riders, as I have had the tractor for about 3 years now with no fendors. This, however, is a one-time special ocassion. I will have one rider for a short time, through a promenade, then the fenders will come back off, and go into storage in case I would tear the cab off of my 966, and use them on that tractor.

don't even consider giving ANYONE rides. i don't care if they are adults or kids. it is not safe and someone could get hurt or killed. the only safe way is on the new tractors that have buddy seats with seat belts.

A few years ago I read about a guy that gave his son and daughter a ride while he was bushhogging. The daughter was in his lap and the son on the fender until the mounting broke and the son fell off and was run over by the rear wheel and the bushhog. Not something you like to think about. Be careful out there. Lee

I'm going to say something here that will hopefully make you think about this idea before you go to all the expense and trouble of adding these fenders.

Where are the riders going to put their feet? A 560 doesn't have a large platform like a 56 series, for example. Are you expecting them to sit on the fender and hang on while dangling their legs?

I'm a prime example of someone who's ridden on many a tractor with no ill effects, but it was a different day and time, even 25 years ago... If you weren't holding on for dear life, you'd better hope to fall off and get run over by the tractor because what Dad would do to you was far worse.

Kids these days... I dunno. I don't know if they'd take you seriously if you told them to hold on. The sense of immortality is the same, but the fear of Dad's right hand on your bottom isn't...
