Hello, I was wondering if a IH 2350 loader will work on a 1466? Will it hold up on that large a tractor? Are there any aftermarket loaders that might be stronger and more durable for that tractor? Is the 2350 fairly easy to put on and off?
Thanks for the help. YC

If you use it for loader work, and not bulldozer work, it'll hold up just fine. Unfortunately with the weight and power of a 1466, it's mighty tempting to start pushing on things that shouldn't be pushed on with a tractor.

The 2350 is a bolt-on affair for the 1466. Just take it easy installing the loader because it's a tight squeeze past the wide hood for the frame. The arms are fine once the loader is pinned in place, its just while the frame is coming down over the front brackets that it can get a little hairy.

A 2350 would be a good loader for that tractor, especially since the 66/86 series had a better/heavier WF than 06/56 series. You could possibly find a 2450, it was a little heavier and has a higher lift height I believe. Don"t see to many at around though. Both are easy and quick to take on/off.

Neighbors have had one on a 1206 for years, I don't think they've had any trouble with it. Its not to bad to take on and off. Lee
