What engine fits in a M?

I was wondering if any other tractors used the same engine as a famall M?

Better check if an M flywheel will bolt to the 400-450 engine as they have live power and the input shaft may be different. I do know from the M thru 560 the rear engine support is the same bolt pattern

Don and Steven are correct--the M had a 248 cu in block, the later models used the same basic block, bored out to more cu in, stopping with 281 in the 450.
