A friend of mine has a Cub that has two machined holes on the top of the hood on the right side(sitting in seat). Can anyone help me out and let me know what they are for?

Thanks

wow, if you were born ihred as your name says , uyou wouldnt have to ask that question. but hey, heres lookin out for ya, glad to have you on board, the holes are for oiling the generator fron and rear bushings. use lite machine oil or trans fluid does fine to. once or twice a year 5 drops each is good, it will outlast you that way.

For oiling the generator bearings. Explained in the owner's manual. Get one.

Yeah its a pretty sad state of affairs when a fella comes here to ask a valid question and gets 3 smarta** responses before somebody actually comes around and jsut answers him straight.
And "they" wonder why people don't post....here is another prime example...most people are decent but there is always a few of those 2%'rs out there....
