I repainted and am about to hook headlights up. I don't have a tail light. 1943 modle H. It's a 4-poss. switch and I've lost the info from you all about what the 4-way switch did vs 3-way. So, Mine is 4 poss, have decals too but I can't remember what the letters stand for. Dim, High, back...etc...cant remember so how do I hook headlights up to this switch and I'll be looking for and buying a tail light.

2nd question. I would love to have a rear light/red light combo. What was standard in 1943/ red dot inside or larger outside red light if any.

3rd: My starter switch (push-pull). It's under the box, exposed and ugly just hanging through a hole...I wonder if it was ever incorperated into the wiring box...I don't like seeing it out in the open. Thanks, Dan

If I remember correctly, the 4 position was Low, for low speed charge; High, for high speed charge, Bright and Dim should be self evident.
I personally plan on wiring in the rear light to come on with, probably, the low charge position, vice using it to charge, since I think that is no longer needed with a modern system. But I will ask those questions when I get ready to do it.

The 4 position switch has Lo High Dim & Bright, the 3 position switch has Off Dim and Bright. As far as I can recall the 1943 h would have had rear light just like the front, the red was not added until later.

That's what it was...L=charge, H=charge...Thanks! I have the swivel already mounted to rear and will look for a light, no red light with it. Dan
