Info I need is, does the hold down straps on the battery box lid go clear across the lid or are they short pieces welded on top side of the lid.

I have made a new battery box w/lid, cannot find any pictures of the top side of the lid to varify configeration of hold down straps...Thanks

I will post picture of box and lid when I get it finished..

The lid has two pieces of metal that are slotted. The 'T' goes on top of the slot and the wing nut goes on the bottom. You will have to make your own unless you want to buy from OEM.

Like Gab says 2pcs. Then there`s a T bolt that comes up through to a wing nut on each side. Sorry no photos, but if you have an OEM catalog they show a good picture.

Two seperate pieces an inch wide and an inch and a quarter long with a slot cut down the middle 3/4 of an inch or so . I had to go out to shed anyway so I layed a tape on it.

If you're talking about the bits that hold the lid to the box they're a short piece on either side. Hope this helps, tractorsam
