Clutch problem on a 234

I've got one of the little 234 tractors made in the 70's with a diesel engine. Last summer my son parked it in the yard after doing some rotilling. Later that day I went to move it and the clutch no longer works. I can't get the tractor in gear - acts like it would if the clutch were not depressed. Everything is connected on the outside and it feels like the pedel is moving the pressure plate when depressed. What can go wrong with a clutch if the pressure plate feels like it is working. I know I'm going to have to slit the tractor to fix it, what ever it is.

Truth be told, it really doesn't matter what's wrong because you're going to have to split it, replace the clutch, pressure plate, and probably the pilot and throwout bearings while you've got it apart. You may want to have the flywheel resurfaced too.
