Guys,
I just wanted to let everyone know I replaced my compression tester this weekend and tested the "H" today. It had 120-125 each cylinder. That told me it was something else was going on.
Turns out it was the new Champion plugs. Two were weak and one of those was breaking down under load.
New plugs and now sounds like an "H" should.
I want to thank everyone that took the time to help me out and set me straight. I might not have thought about the tester being bad without your help.
I appreciate your time and help.
David

I've not had the best of luck with Champions, however the set I put in my H a few years back when I rebuilt it are still in it... but I've experienced bad ones out of the box before as well.

I also have experienced Champion plugs being bad right out of the box. I've never had that problem with Autolites.

Rusty:
Well, that's it for me, then. I've never had bad luck with Champions, but why take the risk? My next set of plugs I will try Autolite.
