It is my understanding that the A,B and C all had the same 113 c engine. Will the following engine block fit into a 1948 Farmall C: A,B, Super A, Super B, and Super C? Any one located in Michigan with a block for sale that fits my needs?

If your tractor has the hydralic pump mounted to
the Rt lower engine, then an engine from an "A"
farmall (113) will not work since the A block does not have the casting hole in the block for
a hydralic pump---The "A"'s did not have hydralics--- The C-123 engine is casted. etc for hydralics----- Glynn

I beg to differ... an A might not have had live hydraulic but a Super A did and Super A's used a C113 until the Super A-1 was released.
I always thought the C113 (A, SA, B, BN, C) was a tad shorter than the C123 (SA-1, SC, 100, 130, etc) motor. I do know that the hood lengths vary a bit between C113 and C123 equipped tractors.

Rootsy: Engine height was the same; stroke was the same. Bore was different. Radiator was taller in SC and SA-1. Thus, hood was higher and gas tank was mounted higher. mike

Some differences (not project killers) are noted differences in displacement, noted below. Front covers, water pumps, and differing radiator outlet factors are in the mix. JimN
