Progress on my '51 C (Movie)

Just mounted the new carb and "voila".
Just need to paint my rims and get some new rear tires and than it's testdriving time. What do you think? Ain't she purrrrrty? ;)

Did you jump your starter or start it with a crank?

Not to bug ya or bust yer chops, but I did go over and look at your video of startin' up your tractor. Looks like you did an excellent job timin' that mag up, the way she started on one good pull. With her timed up that well, it may never be a problem, but please change your ways handlin' that crank. Get in the practice of pulling up instead of pushing down (so you can stand to the side and not get hit), and don't wrap your thumbs around the crank (so they don't get broken or dislocated) in case it or any other tractor ever kicks back on you.

Enough about that. I like your project. You've certainly done a good job of gettin' her runnin' How far did you tear her down?

Once I get her on her feet and go for a testdrive, I'll make a little post with some before and after pics... She was in a really bad shape! Oil and grease everywhere, blown head gasket, torn Cylinderhead, torn cylinderblock, torn brakes, Clutch completely shot, oh don't get me started :).

But I've had a lot of help from the guys on the forum.. All the little pieces of advice got me where I am today... Gonna thank 'em two when the time is right ;).

The SuperC was first. I expect it had been stuck and broken loose by towing it and poppin' the clutch as she was spoutin' oil drops from broken rings. On that one, I've rebuilt the motor, hydraulic block and brakes, and the usual odds and ends.

The BN was a family tractor that I learned to drive on forty some years ago. It got out of the family for five or six years and left to ruin out in a field, but I found her and got her back. She's been rebuilt just like your C. Motor was a waterlogged disaster. Every seal gasket and bearing oer the length of her replaced (except for the left diff shaft bearing in the tranny -- I haven't been able to get that bearing cage out without bustin' it, and I can't get new seals to hold oil there -- gonna have to find a fix for that. The parts are waiting.), stripped down, painted and rewired. That was a pretty rewarding project. I only finished last year.
