Hey all. I was going to replace the plugs and wires on my 424, and like a doofus I pulled all four of them off and took them to town to match up with a new set. Now I have no idea where the new wires go.

I knew better than to do this, I just didn't think about it at the time. Can anyone shed some light on how to put these wires back on?

Thanks!

Sure.
Some goofing around required.
Pull #1 plug and (with the coil high voltage wire in place on the coil, and the other end grounded, and with it in neutral, and brakes locked, and safe) Put your thumb over the spark plug hole, and bump the starter till pressure blows out the hole. Then pull the cap off the distributor and look at the position of the rotor. (it will not be pointing directly, but "toward" one cap terminal. That will be #1. The distributor turns clockwise, so in that rotation, it is 1, 3, 4, 2.
!3 is at the radiator. JimN
