Super A steering question

Today I took apart the steering box on my Super A. I had about 2 complete turns of freeplay in the steering. Hard to do any cultivating like that.
I discoverd that I had 1 woodruff key that needed changing, (I will replace both) and the worm gear had lots of wear. The shaft looked rough also. I did some research on the net, and found 1 site that had a 22 tooth worm gear that was supposed to replace my 9 tooth.

I was wondering if anyone has tried this, or it was just a typo.

Here are some pics of what I took out.

I was wondering if the 22 tooth was an upgrade, and if it would work the sprial gear on my steering rod shaft.
