Farmall BN Engine Rebuild

I am rebuilding a Farmall BN Engine were would be the best place to buy a engine kit. I doing an in frame rebuild I will need Pistons, sleeves, Rod bearing, pins, Pin bushings, & gaskets. Anyone have good luck certain dealers? I leaning towards Tisco myself.

tractorkits.com I've purchased 4 or 5 overhaul kits from him, the price and service is good and it's all quality stuff. Hastings, Clevite, etc. Do it right, pull the engine

An "in frame" rebuild on a BN engine? What about the rod bearings, main bearings, front main and rear main seals? What about the clutch?


Sounds like a lot of work to do half a job.

It just isn't that much more work to take the block off and finish it.

You can buy kits from this forum. You had better get that crankshaft measured for wear. Its not that hard to pull the engine. Then you can look at the clutch and have the clutch disc relined if its close to the rivets. Hal
PS: Your auto machine shop can get the correct bearings.
